Characteristics
Almost evergreen tree heigh 10 m, a round columnar shaped tree, silver and whitish green leaves, sharp spines, terminal branches, growing erect with stem, flowers dull yellow to off-white colour pods form seeds in it.
Propagation
It is propagated by seed. Seeds are sown in the month of February or August and transplanted in the month of February or September next year.
Environments
It is very hardy plant salt tolerant and drought resistant. It can exist at high temperature. Required watering at the planting time and then it grows in drought.
How it can be Use?
1-It forms a good boundary hedge or fence for the protection of farm and houses in the desert and arid areas.
2- It can be planted with flowering shrubs.
3- It is useful for animal grazing.
4- Its Gum is use in different kind of medicines
